I love Christmas, it is one of my most favorite times
during the year. Starting around Halloween I get so happy
and excited for the coming months.
Growing up, holidays were always made to be a
a big deal. My mom was raised not celebrating holidays
and she felt she missed out on alot, so naturally she always
did the holiday season big to make up for what 'she didn't have'.
I love the holiday season for the fact that it is
so magical and it is the time when you see family
and have big holiday meals and gifts... all of which I
love. I love to sit at night and look at my Christmas tree with
all the pretty colored lights and all of my
kids homemade ornaments on it. My mother-in-law
sent us an ornament every year until she passed last year. And
I was blessed with a grandmother that was able to make
a stocking for all of my family... which gives me such a big
smile knowing that they are something I will always cherish.
So many memories wrapped up in one little tree and
season.
Among all the chaos and hussle and bussle, try and take
time to enjoy the important things, and what makes
family time so special.
I love to sit with my hot chocolate and just stare at the memories!
