Who doesn't love to have all of your lunches and dinners
ready for the week.... I think everyone loves to get up
and throw a good healthy lunch in a lunch box and not worry
about making lunches e v e r y morning. Here is a quick and healthy
lunch meal idea for anyone with kids.
It is easy to keep it basic and healthy. No need to lots of processed
foods, although it is nice to have variety. :)
I have just got a few things from the store that will make lunch for
my 3 boys for a week or more. I also just use my cookie cutters
to make a boring sandwich something fun.
Took a plain PB&J and cut it into a heart, be sure not to put
the peanut butter and jelly around the edge of the sandwich bread,
since you will be cutting it off. Then, simple enough, put it in a
tupperware container with their side items. I chose veggie straws instead
of chips (but obviously use your child's preference), and grapes.
I put the grapes in a snack bag, because paired with all the other goodies
they have, they don't need alot. I think parents would be surprised
at how much of their children's lunch gets thrown away. I also put a small square of napkin in the baggie just to help absorb any moisture
from where I wash the grapes.
In just a short hour after church, I have made a whole weeks worth
of lunch containers for all 3 boys along with healthy snacks for
all 5 days at school/daycare.
Snack baggies consisted of lightly salted pretzels, peanuts,
marshmallows and a couple of m&ms.
Another great lunch to finish up the week was turkey and cheese
with spinach wraps. I paired with with sliced carrot sticks
and sliced cucumber sticks for them to dip in hummus.
Hope this helps anyone looking to make life a little simpler.
